If you have never been to a church before, or if you have and it left you with more questions than answers, you are exactly who we are thinking about when we open our doors. The MarketPlace Movement exists for people who believe that faith was never meant to stay inside a building.
We are a Spirit-filled community. Our worship is genuine and our preaching is rooted in Scripture. We ask hard questions. We sit with them. We believe the Holy Spirit is still active and still speaking. And we believe that every person who walks through our doors carries a purpose they have not yet fully seen.
Come as you are. Bring your questions. You will not be asked to perform, pretend, or have it all together. We are not that kind of community.

What to Expect
A Genuine Welcome
You will be greeted at the door by real people who are genuinely glad you came. No pressure. No immediate sign-up sheets. Just a warm welcome and a place to sit.
Worship That Moves
Our worship is Spirit-led and participatory. You are welcome to engage however feels natural to you. Whether you sing along or simply listen, there is room for you here.
Teaching Grounded in Scripture
Our messages are rooted in the Bible and aimed at real life. We preach with conviction and care. Expect to be challenged, encouraged, and sent out with something to carry through the week.
Come As You Are
There is no dress code at MPM. Come in what you wear to work, what you wear on a Saturday, or what you wear on a Sunday. What matters is that you come.
About 75 to 90 Minutes
A typical Sunday gathering runs between 75 and 90 minutes. We start on time and we honor yours. If something runs a little long, it is usually worth it.
No Obligation
Your first visit carries zero obligation. You will not be put on the spot, called out, or followed up with unless you want to be. Take your time. We will be here.

Bishop Robert W. Lyons, Jr. and Pastor Jamila Lyons lead The MarketPlace Movement with a shared conviction: the Gospel was never meant to stay inside the walls of a building. Ministry is not something you do on Sundays and set aside on Monday. It is the posture of your whole life.
Bishop Lyons brings over two decades of pastoral ministry, a pastoral heart for people on the margins, and a theological depth that keeps the community anchored to Scripture. Pastor Jamila brings an intercessory depth and servant leadership that shapes the atmosphere of everything MPM does. Together they lead a community of people committed to formation, mission, and genuine encounter with God.
When you come on Sunday, you will hear from people who actually believe what they preach and live what they teach.
